This volume in the Family Maps series contains newly created maps of original landowners (patent maps) in what is now Pope County, Minnesota, gleaned from the indexes of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. For each township in the county, there are two additional maps accompanying the patent map: a road map and a map showing waterways, railroads, and both modern and many historical city-centers and cemeteries. Included are indexes to help you locate what you are looking for, whether you know a person's name, a last name, a place-name, or a cemetery. The Bible makes it clear that there are invisible kingdoms under which each and every person's life is governed. Jesus' own words tell us that there are only two kingdoms, that being the kingdom of this world and the Kingdom of God. The kingdom of this world is headed up and ruled by Satan. The Kingdom of God has a king, and His name is Jesus. Surprisingly, many believers are not aware of the choice that they are called to make, not just for eternity, but also for this life now on the earth. Luke 4:5-8 says, 5 "Then the devil, taking Him up on a high mountain, showed Him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. 6 And the devil said to Him, 'All this authority I will give You, and their glory; for this has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I wish. 7 Therefore, if You will worship before me, all will be Yours.' 8 And Jesus answered and said to him, 'Get behind Me, Satan! For it is written, "You shall worship the LORD your God and Him only you shall serve."'" If you do not make an intentional choice, you will by default be living in the kingdom of this world. However, everyone has an opportunity to choose, but it must be intentional. Also, choosing the Kingdom of God is more often than not very uncomfortable, but eternally profitable for those who make that choice. In later chapters I will give more definition to both of these kingdoms, their histories and how they function. This book will be more than philosophical; it will be very practical even for the uneducated and simple minded.
